Associate Attorney

Profile

We are seeking an insurance coverage attorney with two to eight years of experience for our Pittsburgh office. Matters handled by our insurance coverage group include the analysis of various types of claims as well as high-stakes litigation. Please note that this position is hybrid.

Essential job duties include:

• Reviewing and analyzing new files from clients.


• Drafting coverage opinions and advising clients on insurance coverage matters.


• Interpreting insurance policies and coverage provisions.


• Communicating and preparing status reports to clients.


• Conducting legal research when necessary.


• Attending depositions, hearings, and mediations as required.

A successful candidate will also:

• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Be skilled in legal research and analysis.


• Have superb administrative skills.


• Possess the ability to work collaboratively and independently.


• Be diligent, driven, and eager to learn.


• Possess the ability to take ownership of their work.

Qualifications

• An active bar license in Pennsylvania


• Insurance coverage experience


• Litigation experience


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Exceptional writing, organizational and advocacy skills
