Reporting to the Executive Director of Development, the Associate Director of Development will work closely with physicians, administrators, researchers and UDAR colleagues to advance all aspects of the fundraising programs for areas to include Gastroenterology, Palliative Medicine, and pain management. Major responsibilities of this role include: Managing the university's relationship with current donors and prospective donors who give or can give at the $100,000 level or above. Designing and implementing comprehensive strategies to identify, cultivate, and steward high capacity individuals Developing gift proposals and marketing materials Engaging donors and prospective donors through personal meetings and events based on initiative/division priorities Applying advanced project management skills to advance strategic goals Within the first three months, you will establish relationships with program leaders, clinical and lab-based faculty, and UDAR colleagues. You will learn about program priorities and development opportunities, familiarize yourself with the donor portfolio, meet key internal stakeholders and partners, and contribute to the planning and execution of fundraising efforts. After three months, you will regularly engage with donors in your portfolio, guide the direction and implementation of fundraising efforts to improve the major gifts pipeline, and steward existing donors. By the end of the first year, you will have identified and cultivated new donors, engaged mid-level and major gift donors, established a strong network of colleagues, and secured valuable support to advance UCSF's mission. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role. For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
