Duties:

• Represent clients in matrimonial and family law matters involving substantial assets and complex legal issues

• Manage all phases of divorce and custody litigation, including trial preparation and courtroom appearances

• Oversee discovery, depositions, motion practice, settlement negotiations, and case strategy development

• Serve as lead counsel in trials and high-conflict disputes

• Collaborate with other attorneys on multi-faceted family law cases

• Maintain regular and professional communication with clients, adversaries, and court personnel

• Mentor junior attorneys or support staff when needed

• Participate in firm development initiatives and client relations

Requirements:

• Minimum of 15 years of experience practicing matrimonial and family law

• Strong background handling high net worth cases with financial complexity

• Proven litigation and courtroom trial experience

• Ability to manage a full caseload independently

• Demonstrated leadership within legal teams or in client-facing roles

• Interest in long-term partnership or succession planning is a plus

• The existing client base (book of business) is valued.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar (in good standing)

Skills:

• Expertise in divorce, custody, support, equitable distribution, and complex asset division

• Strong written and verbal advocacy skills

• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities

• High level of discretion, professionalism, and client service orientation
