Profile

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Payroll Officer to manage end-to-end payroll processing in a fully remote environment. The ideal candidate will ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with all relevant labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process full-cycle payroll for employees (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly)

  • Verify timesheets, hours worked, and pay adjustments

  • Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions

  • Manage payroll taxes, benefits deductions, and statutory contributions

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws

  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation

  • Prepare payroll reports for finance and management teams

  • Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies

  • Coordinate with HR and Finance departments on employee changes

  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely manner

  • Support audits and year-end payroll processes (e.g., W-2s, 1099s)


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)

  • 2+ years of payroll processing experience

  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and tax laws

  • Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Gusto, QuickBooks Payroll)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment


Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification

  • Experience managing multi-state or international payroll

  • Familiarity with HRIS systems
