Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney for their Livingston office. The Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney will handle all phases of civil litigation, including fact investigation, legal research, drafting discovery, preparing pleadings, depositions, mediations, court appearances, and client communication. Prior law firm experience is preferred.
 
Duties:
• Handle all phases of civil litigation, including fact investigation, legal research, drafting discovery, preparing pleadings, taking and defending depositions, participating in mediations, and appearing in court for motions and pre-hearing proceedings.
• Interface directly with attorneys and clients.
• Work independently and productively.
• Demonstrate exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Make strong decisions, solve problems effectively, and organize tasks efficiently.
• Exercise outstanding judgment.
• Manage multiple projects effectively.
• Develop and implement legal strategies.

Requirements:
• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school with an excellent academic record.
• Admission to the State Bar.
• Prior law firm experience preferred.
• Ability to interface directly with attorneys and clients.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and productively.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organization skills.
• Outstanding judgment.

Education and Certifications:
• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar.
