Location:

Duties:

• Provide transactional tax support with a primary focus on the energy industry.

• Draft partnership agreements, tax opinions, and other tax-related documents.

• Advise clients on energy-specific tax structures, partnerships, and compliance matters.

• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to address complex tax issues.

• Engage in professional organizations and contribute to writing and speaking opportunities.

• Manage relationships with clients, providing legal advice on tax matters.

• Work in a team-oriented environment alongside firm colleagues and clients.

Requirements:

• Mid- to senior-level associate (4-7 years of experience).

• Strong experience in transactional tax law, particularly in the energy industry.

• Experience drafting partnership agreements, tax opinions, and related documents.

• Law firm experience is preferred; large accounting firm experience will also be considered.

• Strong academic credentials and expertise in tax law.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Must be licensed and in good standing in the jurisdiction where the candidate practices.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

• Strong academic performance is required.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction where the position is located.

Skills:

• Expertise in transactional tax matters, especially in the energy sector.

• Ability to draft partnership agreements, tax opinions, and other legal documents.

• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously.

• Effective communication and client management skills.
