A law firm in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Managed Care Litigation Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in complex commercial litigation and arbitration, with a focus on managed care or health care. This role requires excellent academic credentials and strong writing, research, analytical, and verbal communication skills. The successful attorney will manage multiple cases, oversee regulatory and compliance matters, and act as the primary point of contact for litigation and client counseling.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage and litigate cases related to managed care and health care issues.
• Serve as the primary contact for clients, providing legal advice and coordinating with them effectively.
• Handle regulatory and compliance matters, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare comprehensive legal documents and pleadings.
• Develop and implement litigation strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.
• Represent clients in court, arbitration, and settlement negotiations.
• Provide significant case management and client counseling.
• Coordinate with other associates and staff to ensure effective case management and client service.
• Stay informed on relevant changes in laws and regulations affecting managed care and health care.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing of the California State Bar.
• 2-3 years of law firm or relevant in-house experience in complex commercial litigation and arbitration.
• Experience with managed care or health care issues is required.
• Proven ability to handle multiple cases and manage regulatory or compliance matters.
• Strong skills in client counseling and case management.
