A law firm is looking for an Associate Attorney to join its growing Privacy & Data Security Group and Litigation Group. The ideal candidate will play a key role in assisting businesses with compliance, cybersecurity, and data breach-related legal matters. Location

• Pittsburgh, PA

Duties

• Guide businesses and organizations in compliance with U.S. and international privacy regulations.
• Negotiate complex transactions related to the transfer and processing of personal information.
• Assist clients in responding to cyberattacks and other data exposure events.
• Defend companies in class action litigation arising from data breaches and alleged privacy violations.
• Provide advice on privacy and cybersecurity matters in both regulatory and litigation contexts.
• Conduct legal research, writing, and drafting of legal documents on privacy law issues.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active licensure in Pennsylvania or Maryland.
• 1-3 years of experience in privacy and cybersecurity law, including exposure to litigation and regulatory matters.
• CIPP certification (Certified Information Privacy Professional) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and driven to succeed.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Bar membership in Pennsylvania or Maryland.
• CIPP certification (Certified Information Privacy Professional) is preferred, but not required.
